Our story begins in
1957
PATTHEY Y CORZO
Mr. Francis O. Patthey and Mr. Hugo Corzo Morales, convinced promoters of the virtues of alpaca fiber, founded the company Patthey & Corzo in Arequipa, which would become the cornerstone of what is currently GRUPO INCA. Their entrepreneurial vision and great perseverance allowed them to successfully commercialize this fiber in the markets of Europe, the United States and Asia.

1965
INCA TOPS
A new stage would arrive in our history with the formation of Cía. Textil Peruano Suiza S.A., currently called Inca Tops, whose primary objective was to add value to the alpaca fiber and convert it from raw product to a fine yarn.
1980
CÓNDOR TIPS E
INDUSTRIAL TUMI
Market changes motivated our founders to continue driving the development of the Peruvian textile industry forward. Thus, at the beginning of the 1980s these new companies were dedicated to the manufacture of fabrics and sweaters, respectively. Now merged, they form Incalpaca TPX.
1986
AGROINCA PPX
Near the end of the 1980s, whilst the country was living through the brutality of terrorism and the ravaging of its economy, we tenaciously insisted on finding new opportunities in the face of adversity. Thus, began a sustained growth into the agro-industrial sector with the creation of Agroinca PPX, dedicated to the production of fruit, under the brand Frutandina.
1990
INTI RAYMI
The difficult years continued, but the innovative force and the desire to generate more jobs kept us steady. This vision resulted in Inti Raymi, a company that provides, amongst others, accounting, tax, legal, intellectual property advice, human talent management and corporate social responsibility services, to the companies of our Group and also to third parties.
1994
Vicuña
Condor TIPS was the first Peruvian company authorized to commercialize Vicuña fiber, shearing live animals to make garments and commercialize them on an international level.
1995
COLCA LODGE
Globalization consolidated our great dream to make the treasures of Peru known and admired by the world. Thus, we ventured into the tourism sector, investing in the Colca Lodge hotel project, directing tourism towards the Colca Valley. Later the travel agency Colca Explorer would join this initiative.
INCALPACA TPX
1996
Incalpaca would arrive following the merger of Condor TIPS and Industrial Tumi. We currently have five production lines: fabrics, knits, accessories, plain weave garments and home line.
AMAZONAS EXPLORER
1998
Passion for exploration and the environment runs through our veins, which is why Amazonas Explorer was born at the end of the 1990s, focused on adventure tourism. It operates from the city of Cusco and covers tours and adventures throughout Peru.
2000
“The Land of the Alpacas”
Pacomarca
We love Alpacas, a passion that after years of searching, led us to Puno, where we created the Fundo Pacomarca, the first alpaca breeding and genetic recovery center. Today we are very proud of the development of “Black Alpaka”, which boasts the largest herd in the world, with approximately 1,000 animals and produces 100% natural black colored fiber, knits and garments which are commercialized internationally. Inca Tops is the company that carries out these important programs.
EKEKO
2002
Taking advantage of the boom in tourism in Peru, we inaugurated a shopping center -half a block from the Plaza de Armas (main square) of Arequipa-, specializing in the sale of handicrafts including works from all of the different regions of Peru. And in order to complete the tourist concept in said property, we opened the Ekeko Restaurant which was later expanded to several points throughout the city. Today, this Peruvian grill restaurant is present in various shopping centres in Arequipa and Cusco.
2007
KUNA
After our experience with our Alpaca 111 stores, Kuna was born. This brand took the lead and allowed Incalpaca to enter the retail business with greater force. We currently have stores in Peru and Worldwide. Using a refined selection of vicuña, guanaco and alpaca, each Kuna garment has the softness of the very finest fiber available.
50 YEARS
INCASUR
2011
At the beginning of the millennium envisaging the emerging economic growth of Peru, we invested in the microfinance sector, creating Collagua Inversiones y Desarrollo, a company, which, after several years, became the Caja Rural de Ahorros y Creditos Incasur (Caja Incasur). The idea was not only to attend the financial needs of the workers of GRUPO INCA, but also of the population of the Arequipa Region.
